L as Vegas needs no introduction. If you’ve been, then you know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t been, let me drop some introductory trivia on you to set the stage:
- Vegas Vic, the enormous neon cowboy that towers over Fremont Street, is the world’s largest mechanical neon sign
- Howard Hughes stayed at the Desert Inn for so long that he was asked to leave. He bought the hotel
- Seventeen of the 20 biggest hotels in the U.S. are in Las Vegas
- And more than 41 million people visit Las Vegas each year
Add one more fun fact: Las Vegas is the home for what’s going to be one of the biggest hotspot for determining the future of IT and data protection. VeeamOn 2015 is almost here.
Quantum and Veeam recently cemented our Premier Partnership and we’re excited to talk about how we’re helping customers break free from old school, traditional ways of protecting data. That’s what “Kicking The Cartel” is all about. Storage companies will be all over VeeamOn, competing for your attention, showing off their latest and greatest in an attempt to be one step ahead of the rapid change in the way companies store data. And we all know the way people access data is changing – with access patterns and virtual workloads becoming less and less predictable. Customers need to have greater access to their data, and they don’t want to pay thousands of dollars per TB for a ‘one size fits all’ to protect it.
The difference is that Quantum isn’t your normal legacy enterprise storage company. We’re built differently and we won’t lock you in. Our products deliver high performance and availability at the lowest TCO and our new partnership with Veeam helps companies control ever-increasing storage and backup software costs. What does that mean for the customers here at VeeamON? It means that when attendees drop by the Quantum booth I’ll be able to show them how Veeam® Availability Suite and Quantum DXi®-Series deduplication appliances offer an easy, powerful way to protect VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
When we use our unique tiered storage solutions with Veeam, we can deploy a solution that maximizes production system availability while cutting storage costs. If you’re tired of paying thousands of dollars for backup solutions that were not designed for virtual environments, take a look at a different approach that enables you to maximize data availability at the lowest TCO. We’ll be showcasing all of our technology at VeeamON too, including our QXS hybrid storage for VM primary storage and our Artico NAS appliance for archiving. Drop by the Quantum booth #201, attend our session on 10/28, and meet with our executives. We’ll show you how to upgrade your backup and break free from oppressive pricing and service contracts. This year it’s all about “Kicking the Cartel.”
