Posted by One of the most exciting parts of tradeshows isn’t just seeing what’s new in the industry, it’s being able to show partners, industry veterans and newcomers, and even competitors what we’ve been working on and developing. And that’s exactly what we did at this year’s ISC West.
The Quantum team was proud to introduce the new VS-Series, an efficient, flexible platform designed for surveillance and industrial IoT applications. It enables our customers to efficiently record and store surveillance footage and run an entire security infrastructure on a single platform.
Integrator partners, VMS partners, and prospective customers that stopped by the booth were most interested in the “hyperconverged” infrastructure of the VS-series – meaning the VS-series platform is a lot more than just storage. It has compute to host the VMS application, analytics, and even other applications used for building controls and security – like access control, lighting, and HVAC systems.
There was a big emphasis on video analytics, object recognition, LPR, and more – for security and loss prevention purposes, but also for more opportunistic purposes like studying shopper behavior and more.
Lastly, we also showcased the Quantum R-Series – ruggedized, removable storage that can capture footage in places like police cruisers, buses, trains, and boats. The unique product design drew interest at a show with products as diverse as data storage, key organization systems, and security gates.
